Smile Newby Question

Since last night, I've had a notification at the top of my 7290's screen. It's on the top lefthand side of my screen. It's a "1" with a box to the right with a checkmark inside. What does this mean?

New message, SMS, voicemail or such, I imagine.

It's different from the VM, SMS, and MMS msg icons. I assumed it was some sort of network push message or update, but it won't clear from the screen and I can't find it in any of the folders.

in your message folder, go to the top (most recent) date, and MARK PRIOR OPENED. Does that clear it?

I don't know what it is either, and I assume you are going through every thin which can give alerts. Goes without saying you are forgetting one of them, Calendar? Tasks? Voicemail? Missed Call? Messenger app?

No, it's still there. It's not on when the device is being used, only when the screen saver activates does it show up.

I checked the calendar, VM, SMS, calls, messengers, etc. The one thing I didn't check -- Tasks!

That was it!

Thanks guys.

A blind squirrel (that's me) finds a nut once in a while.

Did you say it only showed when the device is locked? That's a new one on me.
