No, that's not correct.

You DO need a new activation after any OS upgrade.
Using Desktop Manager connected to BES merely kicks off a wired EA automatically. The activation still occurs. You're simply not required to enter your email address and activation password as you would normally do on a Wireless Enterprise Activation because you're already authenticated to the BES via DM.

I have not had to activate my Blackberry on the BES server the last 2 times I have upgraded the OS on my device, so I imagine that when I move to this one I won't either. The blackberry does go through activation however you no longer need to enter in your email/password to get it to go so essentially it is seamless to the general user and the Activation was wireless not wired as I upgraded from my home computer which is not connected to the Exchange or BES at work.

Running fine here so far. I don't see any difference from .55 though. Memory is about the same and I haven't had it long enough to check battery life yet. I may have to wipe my berry whenever the official release comes out after putting all of these betas on in a row!

Again, this is true if and only if you're upgrading using Desktop Manager which is configured for (and connected to) your BES.

It's happened to me on 2 different BB's so far today as far as going through the EA process after the upgrade.

I do see one difference. When I end a call, the indicator doesnt go to gprs before returning to edge. Loudness and call quality seem indistinguishable from .55.

I'm not sure. One of the older members of Crackberry said it was a new feature. He knows far more about this than I do. But if I find out, I'll let you know.

Ohhh okay! I didn't know. No one mention it on CB. Some people were actually looking for it for the 8320.

Update: false alarm below, my fault. The event was changed during sync, becoming a scheduled time event... no today theme showing all day events with this one...

I just cannot believe... Today vision shows "all day events" in the calendar.... could not be more happy. Let's see if the bbmessenger stays put.

Sharing locations of beta software is not allowed on this forum. If you can't find it on your own, you shouldn't be running it anyway.
