Keypad lock still the same as the past couple of versions (shoulder key only keypad lock, "k" shortcut key for password lock).

Task switching scrolling within Browser is fixed from 5.0.0.554.

Sudoko and Klondike games are still not loaded (can pick these up from 5.0.0.509 or earlier.

New option in Media Player to scale the font.

Much shorter time to take a picture with Camera (less time to auto-focus).

Normally, you would have to ensure the following :
1. Options > Phone Options > General Options > Dial from Home Screen > No
and
2. Options > Password > Password > Enabled
and then
press and hold "k" for password lock

Instead of pushing and holding the K key, just tap the K key.

Pardon my ignorance, but I see all these messages about leaked OS. Is it safe to assume that in the near future an official version 5 OS will be released by T-Mobile for my 8900?

Shazam is not loading for me. When I go to run setup it flashes back to my previous screen. Anyone else having this problem?

Just installed it, everything is working fine no issues here
I see a new 'sync" folder in the home screen.

Any officially released version for your device is OK. You do not have to get it from T-Mobile. Look in the BBF section for the 8900 and use the link there to download and the instructions for installing.

The particular beta version OS in this thread is working great for me on my T-Mobile branded 8900 with no issues.

Good luck.

So far so good this leak.. I was a bit confused when this leak arrived, without the previous version to be an official release... anyway, the application changer trackball sensitivity (while browser was loading) bug is fixed, battery management is really good, pretty satisfied with this one!

in the folder it says "synchronizing service"
then lists the crap I have set to sync , address book emails ect...
and it displays the status of whats being sync'd, kinda cool I guess will play more with it later

Um, if you're on a BES you already have wireless sync. That's why I asked. What he describes sounds like the Enterprise Activation.

Confirmed that shazaam doesn't work for me either. The program starts, I can check the status and everything checks out but when I click setup, the program just crashes.
