Default 4.1 killed my 7100g!

Please Login to Remove!

Tried to load the Cingular 4.1.0.292 into my 7100g today and it seemed to work at first but I only got to 59% on the re-activiation (I'm on a corporate BES) and it hung. I've taken the battery out for an hour and now all I get is an endless spinning hourglass. Any help?

D'oh. Never mind.

I re-ran the software download and realized during the subsequent re-activation that what's taking so long is the phone call log resync. It's not really "frozen" at 59%, it's just taking forever to on the phone log.

Try deleting the phone log and reactivating. It really speeds up the process.

Love to. Can you point me at the way to do that?

Thanks.

Well, a set back. After it finally activated (nearly 2 hrs!), I still didn't have the BB Browser. The Cingular tech support person told me to pull the battery and re-insert. I've done that twice now and the unit will not re-boot again. Just spinning hourglass for almost an hour now. Blah. What's up with this 4.1 release? It seems to work fine until the first reboot.

Well, this morning my 7100g is up and running on 4.1 but I can't get the browser. Cingular support suggests it needs to be pushed from my company's BES. This is not how I got it originally but maybe something's changed.

I love the new themes but I'm confused as to why apps aren't showing up after I load them? I loaded Texas Hold'em 2 and I can see it listed under Options->Advanced->Applications but I don't get an icon to run it. What am I doing wrong?
