Installed it this morning. Did anyone notice that the boot time in this OS seems much faster?

Same here with battery life. Been on for around 8 hours and close to 150 texts, BBM, Google Talk, and internet browsing and I am only down to 75%. This build seems to have made some leaps and bounds in battery life because by now I used to sit around 50-60%

Now at 15.5 hours since I took the 8900 off the charger this morning:
- 4 drives using bluetooth (headset), 2 for 45 mins each, and 2 for 20 mins each, a total of 6 calls across these trips
- about 15 calls today, anywhere from 3 mins to about 15 mins
- sent myself 4 add'l emails from my work PC, each with 22 to 25 embedded 480x360 walls, downloaded and opened them on the 8900 and saved close to 100 images on my memory card
- about 15 or 20 SMS's today
- some web browsing, some facebook (haven't tried facebook on this version yet)

...and, after 15.5 hours, I'm at 70% battery. 4.6.1.174 is looking pretty good to me so far...

This beta seems very stable to me with an increase in battery life (at least I think so)...

Been running it for 24 hours, VOLUME has realliy increased, Something different with web browser, I can't put my finger on what it is. Battery life is better. Hopefully the UMA to EDGE handoff is better... Overall very good build

So far I love this build - volume is nice and battery seems great.

Is anyone experiencing any problems adding birthdays to their contacts? I just added two today and both times the phone locked and needed a batt pull. I'm guessing it is a conflict with the 3rd party today theme I have loaded, but have been too lazy to check with the stock theme active.

Wirelessly posted (8900 strike2)

Audio problem now happening. Speakerphone speaker goes out. Battery pull usually solves it, but not always. Regular ear speaker still works, no sound on incoming call, no music heard while playing, and no speakerphone.

Problem not with .174, but the actual speaker or connection to speaker. Tmobile sending replacement. Crap.

The radio on my 8900 has shut its self off twice today. I have taken the device of of its holster and the radio signal said OFF. Has anybody else noticed this?

not on my end - so far this is the best OS I've had loaded yet... I havent really had a chance to test uma/edge handoff, but I'm sure that will happen over the weekend more than a few times...

This has happened several times to me with .168. Haven't tested this with .174 yet but seeing your report prompted me to post this, off topic, in this thread.

.174 looks to be very stable. I have not experienced any such behavior with my device till now.

It happened twice again today. Interesting thing happens when I turn the radio back on my device stays in edge, and won't switch to EDGE unless I do a battery pull. There has to be a jacked up line of code somewhere in the OS.

My GPS is terrible with this build. And the low volume level is STILL too loud.

Rolled back the OS. The device seems to lock up in the middle of the night twice in a row already and I cannot get past the "T-Mobile" screen. Well, have to wait till the official release.
