Default SMS msgs self-deleting.. NOT a memory problem!

Please Login to Remove!

very weird problem. i had over a years worth of SMS/email messages in my box and randomly noticed they were deleting (at a slow pace). one day it started picking up to the point they had basically ALL deleted themselves. i wiped out every extra application i had except facebook, cleared my history and cache, etc, and did a battery pull. i've checked to make sure my options are set to keep my messages forever. now, with about 1 months worth of messages built back up, it's starting to do it again and several days are missing from my box. what is going?! i have over 43,000,000 bytes free out of 83,000,000ish.

I don't see why that matters. The BB shouldn't be deleting messages with that much file free unless something is temporarily consuming a tremendous amount of memory.

It's not relevant why I want to keep my messages. Either way, as I clearly stated, it is now deleting messages again with only a month's worth in there, anyway. That's not a lot of messages.

Any ideas?

Options -> SMS, what is the Number of Previous items set to?

Also I do not know if it applies to SMS Messages but go into your messages and within general options, how long are you set to keep messages for?
