Default New Appointments & Invites

Please Login to Remove!

On my previous BB's, when I did a new appointment I had the option of sending invitations to attendees listed in my address book. This is not available in the 8830. Why? Or, am I totally missing something?

Wow, never heard of such a thing.

What were your previous BBs? Were you on a corporate BES (exchange server) then? Are you on BES now?

Well, my last one was the 8700c. Typed the new appointment then pushed the side wheel and the menu pop-up included Invite attendees.

You must have been using BES since I recall that feature being used with the corp blackberry units at a previous job I was at.

I had that problem on my Pearl. Finally ended up reinstalling BOTH my desktop manager and handheld software and the option (along with some others I never even realized I was missing!) appeared. I am on BIS, not BES--the option is available for non-BES users.

Anyway, everyone I spoke to at T-Mo and RIM seemed a little baffled by the missing option issue, but their suggestion to reinstall worked...anyway, maybe it'll help you?

You have to be on BES or on BIS 2.3 with an appropriate OS load (I'm not sure which versions support this).
