Right- so on CDMA you can't do data and voice at the same time as the network uses the same "channels". This is not true with GSM. So on the 7130e, CDMA, there are many known cases when you will be doing a "data" session (could be browsing or just sending/receiving email) when Voice calls will be directed to your voice mail. This is one of the big disads of the BB on CDMA networks.
On GSM networks, it doesn't work that way and you can do both simultaneously. That's why the 7100t, 7100g, 8700x, 7290 etc don't have that issue.
I did a few more experiments on my 7130e and it really is a matter of "simultaneous". For example, if the web page is just loading on the device the phone call comes in fine. If I am actually communicating with the network at the same moment a calls comes in then one of two things happened: either the call gets routed to Voice Mail or, in the case of one time when I hit refresh on the browser page, I received this interesting message on my 7130 screen:
"A voice call is currently in progress,
Browsing will not be possible until the Voice call
has ended."
The GSM BB's don't have that issue.
