Predictive text would not be very productive on a full QWERTY keyboard model. On archaic T9 entry, sure. But not a Blackberry model like the 8300.

I am not sure... about the 9xxx. OS 4.3 on the 8130 and 8120 does have Predictive Text along with SureType.

I could see the usefullness on a full qwerty blackberry. If it could auto complete as I typed I would be even faster.

JSanders, is it true that if I wait for 4.3 and it has SureType, then I'll be able to get my push email without a BlackBerry data plan??? Can you explain how that will work?

If you do it right, auto-text can be a lot more powerful than predictive text for speeding up text entry.

No problem: In auto-text if you put and entry for let's say "Sig" = "Joe Smith, Vice President" so when you type Sig it will automatically replace it with Joe Smith, Vice President.
To use autotext Menu>Options>AUto Text>Menu>New
Put the abbreviation in "Replace:"
Sig
And put the full text in "With:"
Joe Smith, Vice President
Menu>Save
Does that help?
