Hi all,

Starting to get a few issues with meeting requests/invites not appearing on users Blackberry's.

Mail is being delivered without any problems.

This is in an Exchange 2003 environment. I've checked cdo.dll versions, there fine and the dll is registered without problems.

I tried to register the mapi32.dll file as well but i get the following error when i try to do so.

"mapi32.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found"

"The file can not be registered"

I'm guessing this is responsible for those network errors in the log section above and why the invites are failing to get to the BB's.

Any suggestions on what to try?

Cheers,

Andy

MAPI32.dll is not a file you need to register manually. It doesn't work like CDO.dll.

I did find this article in Google, it's worth a look:

http://www.showactive.com/blog/wp-co...or80040115.txt

Here is the RIM article for this:

BlackBerry Search Results

These should get you working.

So far i'm only getting bes alerts for only certain users on this BES. I've checked their homeMTA's and they all look to be ok. Those that are producing errors are the same as those that aren't.

Any ideas?

Did you verify that MAPI32.dll is the same on the BES and Exchange? If you feel that MAPI is the issue then you would have to reinstall the Exchange System Management Tools on the BES only.

Did the first article have anything helpful or was it the same as the second? If you can't find the resolution in those I would call RIM and have it investigated.

yup, mapi32.dll is definately the same on both.

I'm going to try the re-install of ESM as well as a Windows Update on the BES as there's half a dozen updates just been released.

The first article was pretty useful, I checked the homeMTA entries in ADSI Edit and they all look correct. Tried Step 2 in that article as well. Not sure how long exactly that change would take to kick in so i'll leave it a little while, reboot and see if the alerts still come through.

Cheers

Unhappy

Hi Guys,

Sorry AndyT_uk, i don't have any solutions to submit, but i have a calendar sync issue too and i'm working on it since a long time.

I have a question concerning mapi32.dll, Exchange 2003 SP2 and BES versions are not the same (Exchange version 6.5.7638.1 - BES 6.5.7888.0). I have installed ExchangeMapiCdo.EXE on my BES to have mapi32.dll.

How can i do to have the same one that the exchange server?

Thanks for your help

The ExchangeMAPICDO.exe is not meant for Exchange 2003. You need to uninstall that and install the Exchange System Management Tools from the Exchange 2003 CD and then install SP2 for Exchange 2003 to match your Exchange server MAPI32.dll and CDO.dll versions.

I am having the same issue. Has anyone found a resolution yet? I also checked the dll versions and the homeMTA settings. I worked with RIM support and they told me to upgrade to 4.1.6. I did that and still having the same issue.
