Hey Guys,

Strange one... Iv had the Facebook app installed on my Blackberry 8900 Curve for ages and when some writes on my wall, messages me, pokes me etc... it used to notify me with a little facebook sign.

For some reason, this has stopped working. Iv made no changes to my notification permissions online, nor made any changes to my handset. I confirm that I am using the latest version of the app.

Has anyone experienced this problem. And more importantly, anyone know how I can fix it

Have you tried the battery pull? Resend service books? Uninstall reinstall the app?

I've just performed a battery pull, no change. How do i resend the service books?

It can be done through your carriers BIS site. Also, are you still getting the notification emails from facebook to you email account listed in your facebook settings?? Or are you not getting anything from facebook?? If you aren't getting the emails at all, then you won't ever get the facebook notification on your bb since the email is what triggers the app to notify you.

Make sure you have the latest FB app. Are you on a BES?

You have to have the email account that is used for Facebook being pushed to your device via BIS in order to receive notifications.

I was getting notifications to my email and then on my bb but then one day with no changes to either settings, I stopped getting both. I can find nothing wrong and I have pulled my battery and everything. I don't get any FB notifications in my email anymore and I know that is why I am not getting FB notifications but how do I change this? I don't know how to uninstall, I have tried.
