Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

Hello...I have an 8320 with the H@H addon for tmo. I am in downtown cincy right now and my hotel has Tmobile Hotspot all over. I am unable to browse via wifi...I need to turn my wifi off to use the EDGE connection.

From what I understood aout the hotspot service was that I would get free calls and data over tmos hotspots on my device. When I go to the web, I come to a tmo hotspot login page, so I enter my user/pass from my online tmo account and it won't log in...

What am I doing wrong???

Many hotels have a login page, even if the wifi service is free. When you enable wifi in manage connections and then open the blackberry browser, does it re-direct to the hotel's login/information page?

You will need to force the browser to use wifi, by the way. Turn off the mobile network, or set wifi preferred in device options.

Wirelessly posted (Tmo's cheapest BB customer)

Regarding wifi login pages: I've also encountered instances where the login page wasn't properly formatted on the BB browser. I ended up signing in with Opera Mini and then was able to use the BB browser.

The only wireless available at the hotel was the Tmobile Hotspot, so I was taken to the tmo login page...my user/pass from my account wasn't working...is that what I was supposed to be using???

My device is always set to wifi preferred.

I am no longer at the hotspot, so I guess the problem no longer is a problem (until next time)

Has anyone been at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and had trouble with their hotspot login??? I would have normally just tethered my BB, but I have just recently switches OS's from Windows to Linux and just haven't tried tethering (I have seen that it can be done) with the new OS yet. I guess that is my next test for Linux...

My bad. I read right over the fact that you were trying to access a tmobile hotspot. I would have said call tmobile customer service if you have a tmobile hotspot account and your username/password wasn't being accepted. Again, my bad for not reading. Really my bad.

Even though it's OBE, you should still call tmobile and figure it out. I suspect the hotel has nothing to do with it.

Have you successfully used another tmobile hotspot since then?

I have never been near another hotspot to try before this...(I don't drink coffee, so Tim Hortons is never in my travels). So no, I've never tried it before, or since.
