Default Facebook

I also am able to login with no problems on my 8703e.

Have you tried the "forgot password" on the login page?
Also, verify you have everything correct by going to the facebook.com and trying to login without the "saved" login information if you have it saved. Type it in yourself and verify correct. If that doesn't work, I would try emailing facebook to see if they can offer any help.

I am getting a 502:Bad Gateway error. Is this the same as others are getting? I can browse normally from the handheld (bis), I get the same error on my bes hh aswell. Can anyone tell me if the page actually logs into a https page? Because that's what it seems to have a problem with.

Default same problem

I'm having the same issue on my 8830. The error is "There was an error contacting Facebook". Could it be my company's security settings? I have no problems with m.facebook.com on the browser.

Edit: never mind. I'm using the new Facebook application.

anyone have any info on when this is going to come out... sucks that CDMA gets gipped like this, i would have assumed they would have fast tracked a 4.2 version for us when releasing a big product like this

Default Can't Login w/ Rogers??

Ok so I upgraded my os to 4.2 and have an 8700r on Rogers. When I try to
sign in I get this error.

"there was an error contacting Facebook".

A friend is also on Rogers with a Pearl and he too gets the same error?

Thanks!

Marcust99 I need the exact version that you have installed and if possible the Pearl you mention of your friend. I have at this very moment dealing RIM on this issue with regards to the error. I have seen on 8700/8310/8800

Also I need to know if the handhelds you mention are BIS or BES or both.

Gareth,

I have the 8700r and am running 4.2.1.101. My friend is running the same OS but actually has the Curve, NOT the Pearl (my mistake).
