Default Delete Weirdness

Please Login to Remove!

Email on my BB is deleted on reconciliation after the email is deleted on the server but ... I can't directly delete email on my BB. When I choose a message and then delete, nothing happens. Any ideas?

Every time I have had this I had to wipe the BlackBerry and reactivate.

I have had the same issue from time to time from BB to BB and the solution was the same as stated above...

Agreed with all those above. I've run into this issue several times and have found no other way of correcting it.

Default Another Solution?

Maybe I can contribute to this thread I started. While I am sure a wipe would solve the issue, I only needed to get rid of some messages, not everything on my BB, so I wanted a more granular solution. What I found through researching on Google was that in the BB Desktop, Backup and Restore, Advanced, you can just remove messages, nothing else. I did that, and the problem appears to be solved.

Yeah but...you only found the solution when you got inadequate reponses from all of us here...

Just kidding...that's a way better solution, one that is worth paying attention to...thanks for the tip -- good job!

Thanks, but seriously, I learn a lot from this forum, so I think I should give back in the rare instance that I have something to contribute, particularly when I started the thread. <rant>Indeed, one of my pet peeves as a teacher, particularly in online classes, is when a student starts a thread seeking help for a problem, and then the student posts a "never mind" message and won't bother, even after prompting, to share their solution.</rant> Take care. We all learn here (at least those of us who admit to it), and it's especially helpful when we give back. Glad that you were able to resolve your issues and that you were thoughtful enough to take the time and post a better solution!

I never promise to have the best solution, just a solution (and sometimes not even that!)

Glad you found a better solution and have shared your knowledge!
