Default Problems connecting to Desktop Manager

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, I am having a problem connecting my 8800 to desktop manager. Every time I plug it in, the desktop manager displays the connection status as "working" rather then "connected." I searched online and found some reccomendations that I followed with no luck. I removed the battery (multiple times) and put it back in and plugged it in. I also removed the battery while the device was connected to desktop manager and rebooted it that way, but it still says "working." Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? Could it be the USB Cable? I thought I saw a pop up bubble on the bottom of my monitor that said something along the lines of "failed USB device," but I only saw it once and it hasn't appeared since (and I have tried this many times with no luck). Can anyone help me please? Thank you!

Options -> Connections Settings -> USB Detect
I think you can get an auto configure wizard to pop up too.

Try uninstalling the BB Desk top software and see if that makes a difference or maybe the drivers for the usb cable.
