lets say i worked for a financial corp, that is highly established, that all the higher level employees were using verizon/blackberry because they had a contract with them. how would i a lower level go about taking advantage of their contract, and getting the bb quicker, would i call verizon and tell them i work for the company and want the BB quciker? because i already enjoy the 18% company discount...

Ask your IT guys about who to talk to about getting a BB. Most likely they will make you use their server and therefore limit usage through their privacy filters. But go for it!

Since the 8703e has Bluetooth, if you have a bluetooth capable laptop, could you use the tethered modem untethered by letting the modem and computer communicate via bluetooth???

Let me clarify....

The 8700 has an Intel XScale processor in it.
The 8703 has a Qualcomm MSM6500 chip with integrated ARM9 core with a java accelerator called "Jazelle"

This is basically the same thing that happened with the 7750. Qualcomm integrates a "cpu" inside the CDMA chip creating an all-in-one chip that does voice, data, and also acts as the CPU. I suspect some things may feel slower on the 8703 because of this, however this chip is optimized for Java and Brew applications, so that may help even things out.
