manual = by hand. how comfortable are you with editing the registry?
I don't recommend trying this unless you have a decent working knowledge of the registry and you won't be heartbroken if you hose you windows install. But, that being said, run the uninstall for BDM, restart the computer, run regedit go to HKLM\software and delete any keys for Research in Motion. If that doesn't do the trick, you may have some stuff in your profile, in which case you would need to load your user hive and clear the RIM entries out of that. If everything I just said is greek to you, please don't try it.
