I could have sworn the Tour, or BB's in general, had the ability to assign different ringtones to different numbers. Am I right?

I could not find the option yesterday as I was trying to do it, any help? I'm running OS 5.0.0.624. Was this removed during OS upgrades?

Tried going to the contact in my address book and hitting "menu" but did not see the option. Also went into my ringtone list and hitting "menu" and also did not see the option there. I can assign the ringtone to profiles but not to specific contacts. I do recall seeing that option in the past but don't see it now.

Are you not seeing an option in your Sound Profiles for "Set Contact Alerts"?

Or in the contact itself "Custom Ring Tones/Alerts"?

I'm running the same OS. When I open a contact, I then select 'Edit'. The first section of the edit screen contains name, company, etc. The very next section - before e-mail addresses - is a section that is titled "Custom RingTones/Alerts" where I can specify a specific ring tone for phone and/or messages.

Note that this doesn't assign a ring tone to a NUMBER, but it assigns it to the CONTACT.

This is not a separate option. You need to edit the contact to see it.

Alternately, when you go to profiles (scroll to the speaker looking icon in top left corner), one of the options is "Set Contacts Alerts" where you can also add different alerts (ringtones) for specific contacts.

My durrent OS is 5.0.0.732.
