yes, This is really nicer becaus all you have to do is scroll to the empty to: field and starting typing the name. if it is in yourcontacts list it starts pulling up choices.

Anyone noticed in performance hits with 4.1 on a 7250? That would be my biggest concern.

Can anyone please say what the differences are btwn 4.1 and the newest release of 4.0.2. I upgraded to 4.0.2 and lost my bes connection. Had to do a enterprise activation again. tech people weren't impressed when i told them i upgraded the os myself. If i upgraded to 4.1, would i have to get them to reactivate by BB. I'm not going to do it unless the differences btwn the two software is good. So if someone could list the upgrades that would be great.

Never mind found it. Thanks

Performance is better. I was using 4.0.2 from Telus, and it didn't multitask well. If I received mail while using the browser, everything would slow to a crawl...this is no longer the case with 4.1.

I'm on a BES, and did the upgrade from 4.0.2 to 4.1 with no problems whatsoever....no activation was necessary. Further, my Messenger contacts were preserved, unlike during the upgrade to 4.0.2.

The differences are too numerous to mention. This is a significant upgrade. However, some highlights:

Bluetooth address book transfer (great for Bluetooth car kit systems)
Bluetooth data sync with Desktop Manager
Support for themes
EVDO support (with EVDO PRL update)
Ability to assign ringtones to individual callers
Greatly improved memory management; no more memory leaks
Various improvements to browser; now shows how much data remaining
New font "BB Clarity"
"BB Tetris" game

Anyone with an EVDO enabled VZW 7250 try this yet? Are you having DCR issues still? My biggest reason for downloading this would be to stop having my BB go in and out of 1XEV, 1X, 1x, and DCR.

Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

I tried it and it was stable no problems overall, the only thing i did not like was that i could not get it to tether anymore, not even using the VZAccess software so I downgraded. It does let you assign different ringtones to the different people, it starts to fill in the to on an email as you type, allows you to play with themes, overall i liked it better than the Telstra version but i went back to 4.02 and will wait for Verizon to release their version.

Kontiki - thanks for the feedback. Since I use the VZAccess software in emergency situations, I think it'll be best that I wait for the VZW version. Thanks for helping me make my decision!
