I have not heard of doing a PRL update manually. The only way I know of getting one is to have the carrier push it to you, or dial *22899 from a Verizon BlackBerry.

Going to a store would be the only way to get it done "manually". Installing the PRL requires proprietary software.

If you're with Bell Mobility, instructions for updating your 7250 software and PRL (to enable EVDO) will be released next week. I'm sure Telus will be releasing similar instructions sometime soon as well...

I've heard of people using QPST to manually update a PRL on the Blackberry, but it changes the SPC code.

Is there a way to read, or change the SPC/MSL code?

Why on Bob's green earth did you resurrect an 18-month old thread?
