im debateing takeing my pearl back for an exchange. My service is terrible and the initial issues getting it set up for over 2 hours becuase of it not being registered with rim, makes me feel like this phone is jinxed.

I couldn't get a signal in my office with a Treo 650 or SDA. With the Pearl, I'm getting usable signal 90% of the time. Woohoo!

I had four different 7100t phones, and the signal on this one is better than every one of them, and significantly better than the last one.

My signal is about the same if not slightly better than my 8700g, and it is by far greater than my old Moto RAZR, which is what the Pearl replaced. It even works in the elevator at work, and no one seems to get reception on my building's elevator.

Good signal in SoFla area. Actually, even more bars than tmo site indicated for my location. Of ocurse, the dbm value is the true indicator, but still.

Have yet to drop a call or miss one.

I've been getting great coverage in Canada on Rogers Wireless with my 8100.

It's quite funny, everyone talks about getting weak signal on these with TMo, but if you were a UK user on TMo you'd be used to that anyway!
