Default Battery Charging Time

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, so I know the Storm has a bigger battery than the Curve which is my other phone at the moment. 1400 mah vs. 1100. Still it seems to take much much longer to charge when plugged into the wall and it takes eons when connected via USB. For me the difference is hours vs. maybe 1 hour. Is everybody else experiencing this? Any idea why? It's only a 300 mah difference.

Does anybody know of any heavy duty chargers out for this yet?

I was wondering this as well since my Curve used to take an hour to charge and my Storm takes anywhere between 2-3 hours. I just assumed it was the bigger battery, though.

it seems to take longer to charge then even my Bold. Not sure if the capacity is higher, but I would doubt it based on battery size.

I seem to think that my battery life increased after the update to v4.7.0.75. The time to charge has definitely increased, though. I just took 6 hours to fully charge. (This is down from ~16 the first charge after the firmware update, though.)

My battery definitely lasts much longer on .75 than it did on .65. It takes about an hour and a half for me to get from 65% battery to 100%, however.

Much is NOT said about 'conditioning' a new battery. The manual does describe the process.
To condition a battery - fully charge (overnight recommended) and then fully discharge (use until the 'low battery' indicator comes on) at least three times.
I have done this about 5 times and my Storm lasts a full day with a Bluetooth headset in-calls ~100+ minutes/day + data time.
re-charge time from <5% is about 2-3 hours on the supplied mini-USB.
