I notice the keys wiggle alot and have a lot of play in them. The TY key seems the worse. Anyone notice this? I guess it is normal.

They are all made like that, I think they should have done a more harder key than soft like this, harder to type.

I agree and what disturbs me the most is when you give it a lil shake you hear the squeek squeek of the trackball moving. Yeah the middle keys move with a waterfall like effect when you run your finger over them. I wonder what will be going on with this on day 13 of the trial phase.

I didn't buy one but checked it out in the store and the first thing I noticed was the flimsy or "cheap" feel of the keyboard and trackball also seemed "loose". That's my 30 second review of the Pearl - lol.

I agree, my 7310g seems like the keys are way more sturdy.

I agree about the play in the keys but I don't assume that's because it's "cheap." How much would it really have cost them to make them stiffer? I suspect it was a design decision. It probably makes the tiny keyboard easier to use. I think this because I, personally, like the feel of it a lot better than my 7100.

ah just saw this thread

that makes more sense

the 7105t keypad was too hard to type and its keys are hard and pretty flush with the body

i guess my only concern is dirt/dust getting into the phone through these (for a phone) large gaps in the keypad

That's one of my concerns too. I just ordered mine (upgrade at $199.99) and reading these post about the keyboard, am afraid that I will have issues just like my 8700g. It does have a play, not as snug fit as my previous BBs (such as 7520) and it gets dusty more often.. but I'll see if I actually will get to keep this. Knowing me, nothing last with me for a year

To me it seems like the keys allow you to hit them from off center and still activate the key. Because they are so compact this is kind of nice. I guess you will just have to play with it yourself and see if it suits your needs.
