Talking picture messgaes not sending!!!!

Please Login to Remove!

the pics i take with the phone will not send!!!!!!!
the pics i have on my memory card do send!!!!!!!
is it because the file size it too big, or some of the picture setting are wrong, what size/quality are you guys using??
Also my friend who bought the phone who does not have BB featureon his account CAN send and receive picture messages! So it looks like Cingular fixed that problem!!!

Change the picture size to MEDIUM (1024 x 768) and it should work

Are you sure your account is provisioned correctly for MMS?

Ok so after an hour on the phone with cs, still have zero, got one to go through but other that zip... all was provisioned correctly on at+t's end, very weird, lets see if ay others start having the same issue.. P.S. I'm on an exchange server, third party so the IT policy is liberal...

I am not totally sure about this but if you are on BES I think the server has to be at a certain rev to support some of the newer functions of the more recent devices.

I am on Exchange My Mail -- and prior to that was on Mailstreet. This worked with both services.

On BIS...can't send either. Sent one as an email but won't send as a MMS.

changed the size, seemed to work a little, having an average of 2-3 hour lag time getting to verizon customers, quicker for t-mobile and sprint/nextel, strange.. Also a lag in receiving, WTF....

Default MMS or E-Mail <- Please Specifiy

I think with all this discussion of BES and Exchange servers, there is some blurring of what the people are having trouble with: Some posters are alluding to having trouble sending pics as MMS and others having trouble sending pics as e-mail attachments.

All this morning I've been playing with sending pictures as e-mail attachments taken with the internal camera and send via BIS and it has been taking average 10 MINUTES to get out. (Strong signal) I've tried Medium and Small sizes, and Fine and Normal settings. My picture file sizes are about 45k - 100k in size.

My friend had a T-Mobile Pearl the week it came out, and we tested it in basically the same fashion and all his pics went out checkmarked within 30 seconds to within the minute of pressing send.

I mean, TEN MINUTES? Is this just the way it is with Cingular -- Any Pearl users/switchers lurking that could attest to what it 'should' be?

Well, at the risk of replying to my own post above I thought I would shoot out an update... This evening and afternoon sending pics via e-mail attachment (at 640 x 480 resolution in the Fine setting) have now been going as expected-- going to a check mark from the Send click in about 30 seconds average. Perhaps there was some hiccup or heavy traffic this morning... Anyone who posted earlier, since this thread has been quiet all day, did it just start working for you guys too?

So the TCP settings are for email attachments only or for MMS as well?
Thx.

Remove almost all your service books, anything you think that has to do with Cingular. Then have them resend them. Fixed my problem.

That also fixed it for me. 1600x1200 must be just too large to send via mms. It worked through email (gmail on bis).

So for Curve users - all one has to do is change the size to "medium" and the resolution to "fine" & it sends as email attachmenets and/or MMS; and no TPS settings or resending service books neccessary?

I can't send MMS either. My settings all appear to be correct and I've tried to lower the quality to bare bones.

Also, when my g/f sends me an MMS from her AT&T device, I get a message asking me to log-on to some site to view the photo. What am I missing here???

I'm BIS btw...
