Default 7290 - Can't get to MEP code input anymore

Please Login to Remove!

I have found a Cingular 7290 but I can not seem to access the area to access the MEP code (What i mean is it won't show up) I tried MEPD than enter MEP2 but the area to enter the code put in doesn't show up. I assume it was entered 10 times and locked.

What can I do? Cingular / AT&T Can't help me because I am not a customer.

Give it back to who? I don't know who it belongs too and finding something on a bus doesn't help. Plus it was password protected so it's all deleted now.. No Point in bringing it somewhere.

Does it have a carrier brand on it? Did it have a sim card in it? From what carrier? ATT? TMobile? You could take it to that carrier's store. They can find the owner. The sim card could be placed in another phone and the phone number retrieved. Perhaps there are numbers stored on the sim card?

There are lots of things you *could* have done and still can. At least the owner was smart enough to password protect it so dishonest "finders" don't get their data too.

Hand it in to the bus company, or take it to your local Police Station. Either way you get to keep it after 6 months if it remains unclaimed. Or, call the service provider of the phone, they can then trace it back to the owner. Meanwhile it's not your phone to be tampering with.
