Jivetalk has to be my favorite. I got my blackberry mostly for the email and instant messaging so it's definitely my favorite.

I had my phone in my pocket last night at work. I accidentally sent out about 80 txt msgs to a few people in my address book
so I decided to download an autokey locker from here:

This is a must have!!! Kinda pricey,IMO (I came from a treo 700p and apps seemed a bit cheaper than BB apps), but worth it. dknell is right, once you use it, if you check your emai alot, you wont do with out. Checking emails on my treo or stock bb was like looking at a text msg. Not anymore

I use Microsoft Money and had Ultra Soft Money on my Treo, and it was great. Synced flawlessly. I tried Acendo, but am I correct in the fact that you can only import and export data? No syncing. i tried it for a couple of days and took it off. I would really like an app that I can sync with my Money program. Any suggestions?

I have to give some "props" to Windows Live Search.
The interface is simple and easy to use. The fonts/layout is large and easy to read, but fits perfectly on the Pearl.
The results are fast and accurate (at least in my area, SoCal).
It is has gone from the "Oh, cool! Look at this neat software." stage, to become a tool that I actually use regularly to look up movies, to find stores and restaurants, get directions, etc. I've tried Berry411/Beyond411 and removed it, still have Google Maps installed and like that, but find myself using WLS most frequently.

Mine caught on to that already. Now I have to look her in the eye to convince her I'm paying attention!

BB Alerts
As if I needed to load anything else onto my Pearl; now I've loaded some of the things listed above! LOL
...my favorite app??? I guess it would have to be Google Maps, The Weather channel, BB Alerts, Super Pages, and so on!
No really, the one I've had forever and generally take for granted is BB Alerts ...I love just looking at my LED and knowing what I've missed ...when my phone is on vibrate, there's no way to know what is coming in (email, SMS) w/o the lit LED!
Enough Babble!

Have you tried Beyond411? How did the 2 compare? I've been using Beyond411 based on the recommendations from this site, and have no real complaints. However, I just took a look at Super Pages Mobile, and that looks pretty good, too.

I used Beyond411 for a long time and loved it ...I found Super Pages and, hands down, I like it better. It just seems like everything is simplified on SP (as in locating and typing, etc...)

Hmm, does it work better from the installed program than it does direct from the mobile website? I went to SuperPages from my BB without installing the program just to check it out. I did a very simple "search by biz name" using "Target" as the business name and my zip code. It said "no results found." I've got 3 Targets in my zip code. Beyond411 found them all.

I use it on my Pearl and have had no issues ...but you could keep both on your phone and do a trial run.

Yeah, that's probably what I should do ... but my Pearl is only a few weeks old and I hate installing/uninstalling a bunch of stuff. I like to have at least a minimal belief that I'd like the program before installing it. I guess, with this one, I'm just going to have to install it and try it out. (And, yes, I know that installing/uninstalling doesn't hurt the phone ... I'm just paranoid about my awesome new Pearl). ;)

I bought mine last January; I've had to many phones to count over the last ...hmmm ...let's just say my first phone was the big kind that were in a bag! LOL ...the Pearl is my favorite.
Do you have the Blackberry software installed on your PC? That is the most effective way to install/ uninstall anything. I have so much crap on mine and it still runs like a jet (OK ...slight exageration).
