What I have noticed is that if you miss a call and someone leaves you a voice mail, the phone will give you a little pop up window telling you but thats it. The actual indicator is missing, and for me only shows up when I'm browsing the web, which is kinda silly to say the least.

Unhappy Upgraded to 4.1.0.346 - Zen is screwed

I'm having the same problems w/ VM and missed calls indicators not showing in the Zen theme. Before the upgrade Zen worked fine. Now its worthless w/o the notifications. Anyone have a fix?

Home screen icons on "Dimension Today" are permanent/unchangable.

Well, without a box or lap atm you can't upgrade the OS.

here is a link to download it. http://www.knology.net/~acidmax/blac...ension_zen.jad

I found the upgrade to 346 to fix my two major issues with the 8700g. Where I work, I'm constantly in and out of signal as I move throughout the building. My e-mails would fall out of synch and it would take a restart of the wireless to start back up again. Very annoying. Problem gone with the upgrade. Also, that deafening tone when a call is dropped is still loud, but not nearly as bad. Doesn't seem to use the speakerphone to blare the tone anymore.

Looks like I am staying on .284 until issues are fixed. So far, I am pleased with .284. Only exception is the separated SMS/Text message alert to regular email.

Strange. I decided to try .346 on a 8700g on T-Mobile in the UK, mainly to get a Dimension-today theme that worked better than .284. Seems to be fine...

I find that .346 is much slower. When you click the menu or change the profile, it takes almost a full second for them to come up. I also despise the application names on the homescreen. All and all I don't think the "upgrade" was worth it, .284 was working just fine for me.

Can someone tell me if this version has the "data services on/off" feature in the network selection page?

Had the same problem and noticed it but left it alone - until I missed an important voicemail without the alert!

This is the kind of stuff that makes this forum indispensible - did a search, found the answer, implemented it - PROBLEM SOLVED.

wow... MAJOR kudos to you, my friend. Tried your method, and worked like a charm!

Now if only we could figure how to remove the app names from the Home Screen......

.346 does not support zen theme people, so if you guys are missing notifications icons it's because this OS blows. Get Cingular's newest OS instead.
