When you say a lot of folders.... how many are we talking about?
Dozens, Hundreds, More than 255?

What BES version and messaging platform?

What messaging platform? Exchange, Domino, Groupwise?

What service pack level on BES?

When you set up the folder redirection, are you doing it from the handheld, or BES Manager?
Only messages from External addresses stop arriving at the device? Mail from Internal users still gets forwarded?

Have you checked to see if there are any filters/rules set up in the user's BES account or in their desktop email system?

BES:4.1.4.12
Exchange 2003 SP2

i setup the folder direction from the BES which then stops the handheld being able to receive external emails.

Internal still works and emailing out externally works.

I've never heard of this before ... ever.

What if the user sets up folders to redirect on their HH?

I have this problem as well. I'm using BES 4.1.3.18 with Exchange 2003 SP2. The Blackberry is a 8310 with AT&T. Like the person above, my user has a large number of folders (probably 100 or so).

External emails arrive in the Outlook inbox just fine. They are not moved to any subfolders.

We didn't have a problem until we added additional folders for redirection for this user (redirection is handled by BES). Before this change, we were redirecting the inbox and about 6 other folders. The user requested that we add all of her folders, so we did this in BES. After the problem started, I changed the redirection to inbox only, but this did not fix the problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are your exchange server logs showing any MAPI errors?

Sorry for the late response.

I was able to fix the problem by removing the user from BES, adding them back, and then reactivating. I'm not sure what caused the problem to begin with, but it's been working fine since the remove/add.

Thanks for the replies.
