Default Does anyone else think O2 support is poor

I do, phoned them several times and can't get to talk to the tech, you need to relay everything via some poor wee girl who thinks a Blackberry is something you make pies with.

If you work for O2, drop me a line if you really want to keep this customer of 14 yrs.

As far as I know, there are no employees of O2 on this forum. Also, it is important for you to realize that this forum is not affiliated in any way shape or form with RIM or any mobile service provider.

Agreed. The same can be said for most carriers.

Do you know any experts on the forum who can point me in the right direction?

Set my own email account no problem, even set up my work account and everything worked well until my office desktop required a password change, when I tried to change the password in the bb I got a validation error.

In frustration, I deleted the account and tried to set up from scratch.

The IT dept/company bb's ( BES) are handled by Vodafone and since mine is private on O2 (BIS) they won't help.

Even tried OWA but I think that fails because the company use https.

Any Ideas?

Honestly, there are quite a few experts here. Myself included. However, we are all volunteers who give of our time to help out the community.

That said, you can use https:// with OWA in BIS.

If I can use OWA on my laptop without problems, is it a fair assumption that the BB should work also?

That is a fair assumption.

As far as poor support it mainly depends on the person you get on the phone... but the same can be said for any/all carriers.

I use to do help desk support... It was a real pain in the @$$... Really depends who you get on the phone everyone is different, I like to think I was good at it, but listening to other people it really made me wonder.
