Default Can't remove GMail application from BB 8110, please help!

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded an application from the internet for GMail and put it on my BB 8110 Pearl through BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
However, it keeps freezing when I use it. So I tried to delete it. But I can't find the application under 'advanced options'> 'apllications' on my phone. I also can't find it when I check my phone with BB Desktop Manager.
The GMail icon is still there though. How do I remove it from my phone?

Please help, thanks in advance!

Perhaps if you try to install it again, maybe something gone wrong first time. I had similar problems with GMaps

Thank you for your quick reply.
So you think I should try to install the application again and hopefully it will either work or I'll be able to delete it properly this time?

I started doubting its reliability since it kept freezing and it was a converted .jar to .alx file that someone had posted on the internet.
Since I use Opera Mini and therefore wasn't able to download the GMail application through my phone's browsrer, this seemed like the perfect solution.
I am a little concerned now though that I might've installed some unreliable software since I can't remove it anymore.

Any more thoughts on the matter would be much appreciated.
