Can anyone suggest a gps puck (with BlueTooth, of course) that can accept a 12 volt connection from a car's cigarette lighter?

I'm a bit fussy about this... I don't want a converter that plugs into the lighter, I want a device that actually accepts the 12 volts straight on.

P. S. I want the puck to be live every time I'm in the car. The previous owner went to the trouble to route a power wire up to the rear vier mirror for his radar detector. As near as I can tell, the voltage from that wire is raw 12 volts.

Nothing wrong with the connector being USB, I'm agnostic toward the physical connection style... I just want a device that's expecting 12 volts. I expect there are a good many that can be powered from the cigarette lighter; most, I suspect, are converting the 12 volts to something lower for delivery to the puck.

The USB spec is 5V, so you won't be able to find anything with a usb connector to accept 12V unless it is some sort of proprietary variation (if that even exists.)

You are correct about the power wired up to the mirror for a radar detector being 12V.
