It was only a beta until a carrier released it. It's the same version, just now it's been released.

It's just a background...I haven't seen it on unite but BES users have had it since OS 4.2. It differentiates between BES mail and other messages (email, pins, etc.) Not sure how it works on Unite.

Screen shot? Decent HTML email on the Blackberry may hold me back from getting the iPhone 3G on July 11th? What version of BES (not BIS) do you have to have to support HTML email with 4.5 on the device?

BES 4.1.6 (or hacked 4.1.5) is required for HTML on BES.

I'm guessing they have many BES's. It's likely they don't have all BES's up to 4.1.6 yet.

this really bothers me. now bis has html email and bes does not when using exchangemymail (at least on the server they have me on)
so my only choice is to disable emails coming to the bb via bes and setup a bis account to receive my email...

Are you saying that messages sent to your EMM account (Desktop) are viewable as HTML?

I'd understood that EMM had not upgraded their BES servers and were not yet prepared to commit to a date.

EDIT: All a bit clearer now I've read the most recent posts.

From EMM:

--
We have installed the new service packs on all of the BES servers, but we have disabled that feature.
Seems RIM has issued a warning that states that the Exchange servers in large environments can crash if HTML email is enabled.

We are scheduled to have a call with our RIM support tech lead to discuss this, and see if they have a work around, or if there is something that can be done.

Please check back next week.

Is the HTML option available on BES 4.1.5 and HH OS 4.5 or do you need to have 4.1.6 on BES? I have 4.1.5 and 4.5 and I don't have the option.
