Question Change to menu behavior in Storm2/OS 5?

Please Login to Remove!

Ever since I upgraded to the Storm2, I've found icons seemingly moving themselves. Couldn't figure out what was going on, I thought it was some kind of bug.

Finally solved the mystery. On my Pearl, if the menu was open and I clicked the Menu button again, it closed the menu.

On the Storm2, clicking Menu when it's already open selects whatever option is highlighted, which by default is Move.

This is very unusual and unexpected. I'm having trouble thinking of any other menu system on any platform where clicking it selects a default value rather than closing it.

Is this a "feature" of OS 5.0, or just the Storm? It's very annoying.

I think this is given that you dont get a specific "enter" "ok" button, nor trackball so you wont be able to select the most common feature in the menu which usually is right after you first open the menu up.

So for instance, if you want to quick reply a message that you are reading, just press "menu" key twice and it will open the menu then hit "reply" which should be the first option to be highlighted...

Hope this helps

Thanks--I suppose it's a useful feature if you're expecting it. It's just one more new trick this old dog must learn. In the meantime, the back key is my friend.

It has always worked that way on my Storm1 - even on OS 4.7.

For that matter, I thought it worked that way on my old Pearl on OS 4.5, too.
