i performed the update like 30 minutes ago. It shows you what specific areas will be changed, but it doesnt tell you WHAT will be changed. So far, all I can see is he calendar is a diferent color. Oh, and can I see the entire current year on this thing?

Usually the updates are accompanied with Release Notes, but unfortunately T-Mobile are bastards and decided not to make those available. Rogers, Cingular, etc. do. I am awaiting them from our TMO rep and I will post them at that time.

I had to reenter the APN info after the update in order to get TCP apps working. The update had cleared the entry.

I have also lost my version of White Ninja. I'm going to e-mail the developer and see if he's willing to supply the game back to me, but I really think it stinks that an update would cause me to lose such a great game and the high scores that I had.

I'm not happy.

Ahhh... just the fix I've been waiting for. I have that same issue at the office. And my co-workers always give me a hard time about not having a signal at my desk all the time! hehe...

Default Voice Mail after removing battery

My voicemail still can not be dialed by holding the #1 key -- even after reboot by removing the battery. The error message is "improper phone number". Anyone have a solution?

I had to put my phone number back into the speeddial list after this upgrade. For some reason it remembered the numbers assigned to the 2, 3, and 4 keys and lost the other numbers. You can view your speeddial assignments in the Call Log application.

Thanks for the tip on the voicemail. I just re-entered the number in 1 speed dial.

However, the volume is not loud enough when driving or outside. This is a real frustration.

If they returned the headset volume to the level it was on the 3.8 software, then my 7100 would be perfect. I just can't understand why they are having such a hard time returning functionality that was there. It is really annoying and it has caused 2 of my friends to give up thier berries.

I can't stand the low handset volume and mis-labled icons on this version so I had to go back to 3.8. Why can't they just get it right. Maybe combine the best of all the versions.

Question Security Feature

Those of you that use the security features:

I have my BB set to lock upon holstering, and when you take it out you have to enter a password.

Is anyone else noticing hourglassing while trying to type in the password? Then when the password is entered it hourglasses some more. Seems like it is trying to think too hard about your password. This especially happens when you try to unlock right after you have received an email or SMS.

The security is a good thing in case you lose your BB, but a pain in the behind if it is going to act like this...

Angry Arrrrrrrrghhhhh!!!!

I have tried everything to get the new software from the T-Mobile site. I have gone to all the links in this thread and I can't get through. My IT guy may have the permissions or something set to tight, I don't know.

Could someone try this link and see if you can get to the 7100T software.

http://software.se.t-mobile.com/

If anyone has this posted at another site I would be extremely grateful. Another reboot, right in the middle of a Guild Wars battle of all times.

Yeah, fortunately nobody here has gotten the message yet. I'll have about 50 people ay my desk!

Default Still No-Go

I have tracked my problem on my network to the fact that I can't access FTP. I think it may be in the firewall and not on my server. I am able to access on other machines off the network. I just need to burn a copy to cd and put it on my machine.

One thing is for certain, my network is pretty "secure".

That is not FTP. Its HTTP for an executable download. Either the site is blocked or executable downloads are blocked.
