Default Phone Numbers Showing Up Twice

Please Login to Remove!

Recently, my 8700c has been displaying some odd behavior. The symptoms are as follows:

When I highlight a person in the phone log who is also in my address book, and then click the wheel, I see each of their phone numbers twice. In other words, let's assume that I have John Doe in my address book with three phone numbers: Home, Work and Mobile. When I click on John Doe's name in the Phone Log, the pop up menu displays: Home Home Work Work Mobile Mobile.

I have checked to see if I somehow got duplicate entries in the address book, but I do not. John Doe only appears once. I also checked the information in John Doe's contact, and Home, Work and Mobile are only entered once.

Has anyone experienced this symptom? While it is not fatal, it is annoying. Is there a cure?

Thanks.

Try taking the battery out for 330 seconds. Just like rebooting Windows this resolves some strange issues.

Problem solved. I feel like a bit of an idiot. I tell everyone who asks me about a computer, blackberry, or similar device type of issue to start by doing a hard reboot. It cures 90% of problems and it cured this one.

Thanks.

BTW, I assume you meant 30, not 330, seconds.
