I have not been able to find a single Verizon store that has a 7130 on hand? Has anyone purchased theirs in a store or are all orders still online at this point?

I'm in NH. My local store has 4 of them, well three actually as I purchased one of them However, they say they cannot set them up in their system from a retail store until Dec. 1st - tomorrow!

I'll be down there to see if I can get it provisioned and walk away with it.

In Phila, PA they also have a limited amount of 7130s in stock. 5-10 in the stores I checked today. I'll be there when they open!

Codyman, good to know, I am located outside Nashua, NH so I'll check around once I get back from my trip. thanks, who would have figured it would be easier to get there rather than bay area San Fransisco.

I'm located in ohio and was also told they would be out today Dec 1st. Expect limited quantities as the business side dipped into the retail stock.

Got one. However its been an hour on the phone with VZW data support. Seems they forgot to provision EV on the unlimited data plan. Getting data connection refused.

ALSO - is there a magnet in the provided case to sleep the device??? Can't seem to find/feel it.

Yea...When I pick mine up later today I'm not leaving that counter until I see 1XEV stamped at the top.

Good idea. It took awhile for the data support folks to have them provision it. Without it you won't do any data!

Are the stores on the east coast the only ones getting these things at this point? I called every Verizon store and Circuit City in Denver and they have not received any yet. They don't know when to expect them.

They are all happy to order one and have it shipped to my house. I want to put my hands on a working model first.

I will be out in Philly next week, maybe I can pick one up then.

Can you buy one in Philly and return it elsewhere (if I don't like it)?

You can purchase one in Philly as long as you currently are a Verizon subscriber, which I assume you are. If you aren't they won't be able to give you a local Denver #.

BTW, it might be worth actually going to the store, some employees are clueless, or have motives. I called a store to be sure they had them, and they told be they hadn't received shippment yet. I happened to be in the area later in the day and decided to check for myself. Low and behold, they were there. When I asked why I was told they didn't have them in stock when I phoned, they replied, "Oh, we just put them on the floor 5 mins ago." Yea right.

They were released to the consumer market December 1st. All stores should have them. Some may just be telling consumers they don't have them so that they have enough stock for their biz customers.

Went down to a store and Circuit City today, no luck.

I would be a new Verizon customer. If I got a Philly number while I am there, can I later port my Denver number over to it?

I really don't know much about porting numbers so I can't help you there. But it probably wouldn't hurt to call VZW CS at (800) 922-0204. They can probably answer that questions and let you know the procedure.
