Here's something I've noticed ... the Verizon Zen theme now displays the fonts appropriately when you change them in Screen/Keyboard options. VERY much an improvement, in my opinion, and long overdue. The theme even does so for my 8800 (search the forums for instructions on getting the CDMA themes on your handset if you're unsure of the process).

Do any of these versions fix the soft ringer? I just picked this phone up used and didn't think the soft ringer was going to be a huge issue until I missed 6 or 7 calls and a few texts...

This would require a hardware flash. Not an O/S update.

Never ran up against that limit until two days ago. I guess I'm getting verbose in my old age

Now I'm back to not having a clue what the new OS brings to the table.

Ok guys, did the install. And did notice a BIG difference with the devices performance. And to me, the ringers are a little louder, in FACT, I heard the phone ringing all the way in my laundry room..

Pull and replace the battery and back to 10 MB. That is irritating.
i havent tried this, but the 4.2.2.169 app version did fix the memory leak on the 8830's. so this is a higher version and i would assume yes.

and i used the gsm dist. so guessing this is a higher version it should fix the memory leak on cdma

What is the latest OS version for VWZ?

I am currently running v4.2.2.148

It's not a clear indication if you go to BlackBerry® Software Updates

Memory leak is bad code that don't exit out clen. With a longer up time you loose more and more ram till you have zero left and need to do a hard reboot like a batt pull
