Sorry, could not help but notice. Let the slapping and flaming begin.
what is the point of any thread on here?

I was telling people that ups stole my pearl. I didn't take 12 pages to tell the story. And it has spawned other such horror stories.

Don't be bitter sanfran... life is way to short. move on. Welcome back to the forum...

Aren't cell-phones shipped inactive? Don't you have to call someone to activate them?

...I guess I ask because once you try to actually use the phone, don't you get caught?

I used to work in the mailroom/shipping department of my organization. There is always a potential for loss, but the non-governmental carriers are usually much more competent. The USPS handles so much mail - it is literally a catastrophe on wheels. Also, these folks have been working there for 20, 30, 40+ years. They know the system and take as needed.

I think everyone in this thread has assumed the employee at tmobile that orgainzed the package even put the phone in there in the first place... Just my 2 cents from everyone pointing their fingers at his co workers possibly and UPS possibly doing it.

Not only do they steal, but when I worked for them you should see how we treated anything marked fragile. Nothing like a smashed, dented and otherwise mutilated box marked fragile that makes plenty of rattle noise when you shake it. And for effect you put it at the bottom of the tier as you stack the boxes in the trailer. You'd be better off without that distinction.

The reason they bring the empty box is because the package is scanned as it was put on the truck. It points to the driver if they bring nothing but an empty box can be anyone from sender to receiver. If anyone ask you say, "hey, I don't pack um I just deliver. What do I care what you put in your box? It all pays the same to me."

Seems that way. No company is free of stealing, sad to say.

I'm not bitter, just noting the contradiction in your slamming others while not adhering to your public criticisms of posts.

Your slandering UPS by saying they stole your Pearl has nothing to do with the 8100 section. And just because people chatted to your thread did not make it relevant.

And yes, life is short. Why don't YOU move on instead of policing and criticizing other's posts.
