Default Problem with volume control

Please Login to Remove!

My volume control is not working. I can't seem to increase or decrease the volume control while playing media files or ringtones. At the moment, the volume is the at lowest, so whenever i play youtube or media files, I can't hear anything at all.

Anyone out there has this encounter before? I went down to my service provider and they upgraded the software. However, it only worked momentarily. When i got back, the same problem happen again.

There's really only three things you can try, if you haven't already....

1. Restart the device by pressing and holding in the Alt+Ctrl(aA)+Del.
"If that doesn't work..."

2. Pull the battery and leave it out for 5 minutes.
"If that still doesn't work..."

3. I would then suggest wiping the device.
a. First, perform a backup on the unit (Back up all device application data).
b. Go to Options> Security Options> General Settings
c. In 'General Settings', press the menu key and select 'Wipe Handheld'.
d. Leave 'Include third party applications' unchecked.
e. Press Continue
f. Enter 'blackberry' to confrim and press the trackball; the wipe process will begin.

4. After the wipe is completed, you can then restore your device from the back up you performed before the wipe. Hopefully these steps will help and resolve the issue...GOOD LUCK!

I've seen several Bolds with volume control problems.

Seems to be a hardware issue.
