Question V510 vs. Jabra JX-10/comments, poll

Please Login to Remove!

I have read Bar John's reviews and I have been testing both headsets, now I want BBForums Memebers to chime in with their pro's and con's on each headset.

So far I see it this way...

V510:
Pros:
Great call clarity for both my end and the callers end
Battery Life

Cons:
Large and Bulky

JX10
Pros:
Small and Sleek
Great call clarity on the recievers end
Nice desktop charger/usb charge optional
Battery life

cons:
tape hiss like sound, when on a call

I just checked out the Jawbone, are you currently using one?

If so is it as good as they claim.

Yes, I have a Jawbone and so do a few of my friends, we are trying to buy more but Cingular cant keep them in stock. The thing is wonderful especially if you have to deal with environments that have noise, even a little noise. The video on their web site is pretty accurate. Lately, I don't like to use my cellular phone without using my headset. I've actually been told to switch to my headset because the caller can hear better.

You can also check out this thread: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blue...s-awesome.html

You can get more objective opinions from that thread. I personally love it because I work in many different environments and noise is usually an issue.

I think I may see if I can find a Cingular store here in the OC has one and throw it into the mix of tests I am running.

Update, found one of these headsets a Cingular store left. Noise rejection is pretty good, not quite as good as they claim on the website, but vastly better than anything I have tried so far.

Had the JX-10. Good sound quality, generally loud enough, but really fragile! Headset I'm using now (Nokia BH-800) is as small, as light, much louder, much more durable.

I can only comment on the 510. I use it in hotel rooms and around the house. Works great like the review said, but it is bulky to use. Have been using an Moto 810 and now 670 for the car because of ease of use. I am not a fanatic that tries to use them with the windows down.

I used to always use Moto headsets, 810, 850, H700, I haven't tried the 670. You have been pretty happy with it?

My vote is for the Samsung Wep-200

Very small and works great for me.

I have the Samsung, the only thing I am not crazy about is the battery life. It was also uncomfortable after some time, but a nice mod for it was to take an ear gel from a jabra corded headset, that seemed to work nicely.

VERY happy with the Jabra JX-10. I use it with the Jabra EarJel which eliminates the need for the ear clip. Just pop it in my ear and can wear it for hours. Very secure and comfortable. No complaints on either end for sound quality or volume.
