the new facebook app is a lot better than it's predecessors. i recommend it, also.

Note: in order to stay *fully* up to date on blackberrys, i would check here, blackberryNews, crackberry, and the crackberry forums. you won't EVER miss anything again haha.

maybe i'm just easy to please, but i am thrilled with the updates. the viigo-esque menu scrolling feature is really cool. i love being able to comment on someone's status right from the app itself (haven't noticed the # of comments issue that someone mentioned before). i love having the pictures automatically updated into your address book...i put in my own for a few of my closest friends, and BOY was that a cumbersome task. i may just delete the originals i had and let the facebook app do its thing.

i also like the cache feature. should make navigating through the app much faster.

has anyone tried to request someone's phone number? i was just curious as to how that request shows up on the other person's end, and how it comes back.

the only thing that i'm not thrilled about is that it put every contact's place of employment right after their name in your address book. it's a little annoying seeing "John Doe, General Electric" instead of just the name, but i can live with that.

As most programs does not work on 5.0 but give it a try its called testing you can always remove thats what I do if a program does not work or an OS is ahead of its time.

I would say its likely to work, as it would explain the delay in getting 1.5 out, they wanted to make sure it would work on OS 5.0. As I dont believe they would release 1.5 and then have to release another version for an OS which is in the pipe line.

first of all.....FINALLY! If they would have just inserted the ability to comment on status I would have been overjoyed.

Let me ask those of you nay-sayers out there....what would make you happy? You're talking about a 2 in screen, do you expect the whole site on your BlackBerry? I would love to hear your creative suggestions for improvements. Maybe I'm just naive....but prove me wrong here

I'm also having a little bit of trouble with the contact integration. I think BB should make an app for FB so you could manage your contacts (and maybe settings) online as well.... It would kind of be like a "Social BIS" for the rest of us.

Inadvertently. I connected the FB app to my BB address book, refreshed a few profiles and then exited the FB app. I noticed 'sent' messages in my message folder requesting the phone numbers. I have the phone numbers that I want... I no longer allow the FB app access to my BB address book.

I'm using .206 software and installed 1.5 facebook and then my phone lost my enterprise email icon, my profile selector icon and then it took over 5 minutes to reboot and it pretty much bricked my phone. I had to reinstall my OS. Any ideas?
