Default Repopulate old entries in calendar

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

We are running BES version 4.1.5.26 in an Exchange 2003 environment. I have one user who has recently moved from a Bold, back to an 8310 (he was previously on an 8310 before moving to the Bold). In the activation process (done using the switch device wizard on the desktop manager), it appears to only have brought back 2 months of old calendar entries. That said, the user in question would like to repopulate the calendar on the 8310 with as much historical information as possible (he would love all 6 years ). Itxxx8217;s all there in his Exchange calendar. Does anyone know how I can increase the number of months back, the BES will sync to the device (I have been lead to believe that I can specify the number of appointments xxx8211; not necessarily specific dates). Any feedback will be most welcome.

My only other thoughts would be to merge an old backup I have with a new backup, and just restore the calendar from the merged database. That said I have had problems when restoring merged databases beforexxx8230;so I am reluctant to do this until all other avenues have been tried.

Many thanks,

Rob

try and do a calendar reset.

Calendar>menu button>options>general options>type RSET

If the above does not work then there is a limit on the Calendar for initial sync during the EA.

I believe it's 30 days before the EA and a full year after.

I just got off the phone with RIM about this and the above isn't exactly right. Don't go into general options.

Open Calendar --> menu button --> Options. Type RSET and you will be prompted that the calendar is going to be erased and re-pulled.

I don't know how successful it was. I tested it on my BB and now my appts only go back a month instead of 3. (except for the reoccuring)

Did you try to do a

"Force Calendar Synchronization"

on the user? I am not sure, but that feature might have been introduced with SP6 and as you are on SP5 you probably don't have it.
