Never seen this problem before but if it happens for others, you will see a document type icon with an X and a Lock icon on the upper right hand side and just below that another round icon, underneath it all will be a progress bar and it took about 30mins to complete to 100%. Just let it continue to 100% and after a reboot it will give the traditional 517 error than after that it is business as usual with loading the new OS.

I can only assume this was some BES related security issue.

No, i actually wiped the device using BBHtool and it works the same 100% of the time, however this time this one time exception occurred. Again no problem if you know what to look for but there was zero information about this anywhere. I was expecting 517 to show up right after the wipe but that did not happen.
