Default Blackberry emails only go up to 3 days ago.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There,
I have just done a security wipe and re-activated a users Blackberry. However they are now complaining that the emails only go back to 3 days ago. Can I increase the number of days it goes back to? Is there a limit the Blackberry device is configured to hold?
Can anyone help?

BES - v4.0
Blackberry - 8800
Email - Exchange\Outlook 2007

Cheers

Depending upon what version your running the new numbers are 7 Days or 750 messages. This arrangement does not work with both criteria, i.e. it is one or the other depending on the user account. Either 750 messages or 7 days max.
The other area you need to investigate is you have to adjust your server properties. By default the server will have a more conservative number in these areas and it is a global setting.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0

Open BlackBerry Manager.
Right-click the BlackBerry Enterprise Server name.
Select BlackBerry Server Properties.
On the Pre-population tab, type the values for the maximum number of days and maximum number of email messages.
Note: BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 or earlier can support 7 days or 350 messages.
Here is a link on the topic...

Good luck and let us know how your doing...
This can be a much heated topic in your workplace especially with some power users.

IIRC to retain old message you really need to perform a selective backup before wiping and restore prior to Enterprise Activation. It has been a while since I've done this (hence the IIRC).
