Trackball/trackpad is extra sensitive when using the application switcher in the browser. This has been an issue since .548

The only issue that I have seen so far is that Shazam does not work. When you enter the application it boots you right back out when you try to start it. Tried removing and re-adding it but still the problem persists. Guess I will revert back to a previous OS.

Default Password Lock "k" shortcut key is back!

Finally the shortcut key is back for password lock on the device.

The last few releases for 5.0 took this functionality away, which was very disappointing (as was for others per the posts on this subject).

Here's how the different lock functions work for this release:
  • Shoulder button lock: Turns off the screen and locks the keyboard. Display will light when any number or menu button is depressed with hint on how to unlock. Pressing shoulder button again will unlock the keyboard (no password required)
  • Password Lock (using "k" shortcut): Turns off the screen and locks the keyboard. Pressing any key will start password entry. Pressing a menu key will prompt you for Unlock/EmergencyCall/Cancel.
(Note shortcut keys are only available if you turn off Dial from Home Screen under Phone General Options)

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this issue. When I click Setup it acts like it's going to start, then shuts down the app. I was going to try wiping the device and reinstalling the OS, but you've saved me the trouble.

Wow, it sure is sensitive- really unusable in my opinion.

My workaround will be to simply cancel from the browser, then go to the switcher from the home screen. One extra click, but I can still do it one-handed (which has been a great benefit from 5.0 over the alt-esc keys in previous releases.

Comments are posting on this pre-release version on the Beta Forum at
http://www.blackberryforums.com/beta...ve-8900-a.html

Big plus in this release is having the "K" shortcut key reinstated for Password Lock function (shoulder button still does non-password lock).

Default Cannot uninstall BB Messenger

I noticed BB Messenger was installed on my device with this release (I've never installed it before).

When I went back to loader.exe to uncheck the box to remove the app, I found it's grayed out (so unable to uncheck).

Wondering if RIM is making this a compulsory component moving forward, or if this is just a glitch?

How is memory and battery life on 9000? Also, do sms conversations still sometimes show up as bbm conversations and has the voice jitter issue been fixed?
