Hey guys,

I have had my Tour for about a month now, but have never been able to sync all my Facebook friends into my contacts. I have checked all the correct options through Facebook, so that should not be the problem. I was told that Facebook would sync automatically (pictures, numbers, etc.) to my contacts, but this has never happened. What can I do to sync my friends?

Your friends on facebook need to have their number on their profile. If they don't, it won't work.

It did mine automatically for those that did, but all the rest, you need to do it manually. Time consuming, yes, but it's a one time thing.

My brother-in-law's curve did it for him, and he has many of the same friends and family on FB. I have done a few manually, just don't understand why it won't sync automatically. I was thinking that maybe re-installing the facebook app might work?

you have to go into the FB app, go to friends list, then highlight the friend you want, click menu - CONNECT TO BLACKBERRY CONTACT
select the contact you want to link it to, and voila.
it will sync pictures and add the FACEBOOK NAME: field to your BB contact.

That's the manual way. Mine did some automatically for me..

Go to options on the facebook app and make sure that the "Connect your Facebook account with: Blackberry Contacts application" box is ticked.

Also. Press F to go to friends and let it fully refresh your friends list.

I have exactly the same problem!! The "Blackberry Contacts application box" is ticked, and I have updated my friends-list and it still does not sync automatically! I can do every single contact manually, but then its going to become tricky everytime I get new friends that I have to add. Please someone can you help us?

AS written before, it apparently only works if your FB friend has their mobile number in their profile.

(Ive never had this work, and had to link to a BB contact)

I am having issues in options as my blackberry contacts are not checked and the app will not allow me to check the tick box? Any suggestions? I tried re loading the app which did not help.

Are you on a BES?
If so, this is a documented issue.

Right well, the only way is to manually do it for one contact.
See what happens.

Like I said, I never had, and actually never EXPECTED to have the contacts sync automatically, without me telling the FB app that contact A on BB belongs with Friends Name G on FB.

I am NOT on BES I'm running BPS 4.5.0.81 and my contacts and calendar apps are greyed out in the options menu. I can't find anything on this anywhere... help?
