I just picked up a BlackBerry 8700c, but I am afraid that the screen will be scratched easily. I just ordered some screen protectors online, but they will not arrive for at least five days.

In the meantime, I tried placing the 8700c in my BlackBerry leather holster (no belt clip) that I had for my BlackBerry 7290. The 8700c fits snug in the holster, but you have to lock the keys for it to ring when it receives a call (I believe the middle button underneath the 8700c screen is pushed in, which causes the phone to go to the internet browser). Does anyone think this is a bad idea until the 8700c leather holster comes out? Or should I just keep it in my pocket and hope that my 8700c will not be scratched?

I lock the keys and put it in a 7290 leather holster. I am awaiting an oem holster for the 8700.
