Default What's next for RIM BlackBerry numbering? 8000 series?

Please Login to Remove!

The ones in the know, can see a pattern in the numbering.

X5XX - iDEN BlackBerries (overrides all other numbering)
71XX - Phone format BlackBerry (overrides all other numbering)
6XXX - Monochrome
7XXX - Color
X2XX - Squat screen BlackBerry
X7XX - Square screen BlackBerry
XX10 - GSM dualband 900/1900 Mhz
XX20 - GSM dualband 900/1800 Mhz
XX30 - GSM triband 900/1800/1900 Mhz
XX50 - CDMA BlackBerries (6750, 7750, 7250)
XX80 - GSM triband 850/1800/1900 Mhz
XX90 - GSM quadband 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz

At the moment, RIM has more or less exhausted the existing 6XXX series (monochrome no longer made), the 7XXX series pretty much except for the obvious 7790 gap which probably won't be filled.

What's next? The BlackBerry 8XXX series?

I have heard from a source at RIM that there is talk of a CDMA version of the 7100 series. Maybe the 7150??
