hey guys i have tryed un installing live mesanger and the icon is still there along with the rest..in the apllication section is is gone?

I assume you attempted to delete from Options-->Applications-->selected msn messenger--->Delete ? If so and you you may still have a module for this app installed. Delete the module if it exists. Options-->Applications--Modules.
