Try this if you don't see the HTML Browser:
1. Power down the handheld.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Hold down the PTT button for thirty seconds.
4. Re-insert the battery.

When the handheld powers back on, the new icon should appear. Hope that helps.

Exclamation Ture...lies No Html

Ok just spent an hour on the phone with Nextel T2 folks. Here is the skinny, after sending the T2 rep a link to BB Forum http://www.blackberryforums.com/sho...46945#post46945
and a link to the Chilee web page http://chilee.typepad.com/punching_blackberry/ and the pic of the browser, here is what he informed me. The Icon that is in the post is not a Nextel supported Icon, it is a third party icon. The Nextel HTML Browser is going to come out May16th. The Rep said that the Icon for their browser is a world with an arrow and buildings behind it, not people.

The long and short is someone is not supplying all the facts to us…I guess only time will tell who is on the up and up.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has successfully upgraded to the new software that included a new HTML browser. I wish I would have stuck with the old software, see the reasons below.

• Reqwireless bookmarks were lost
• Reqwireless Fire Code had to be inputted again
• BB Spellcheck URL was lost
• BB Spellcheck Service Book was lost
• BB Today Weather location was lost
• BB Today Custom Stock Reports Were lost
• 411 Lost home & work address
• Wasted too much of my time

I didn’t test the BT 800 Bluetooth on the way into work this morning; I will do that this afternoon and update you. If the Bluetooth is not better this entire software upgrade is useless…for me the average new BB user.

Should have just kept the old software, no benefit to me AT ALL… Does anyone use the password keeper?

If anyone has what they think is a Nextel supported HTML browser please PIN me 4006DF2A

I tried downloading the new OS update (4.0.0.31 I believe it is and it goes throught he installation and then I checked my desktop manager to see if there were any changes and it tells me the older version software is still there. Is there a fix for that or does anyone know what I can do from there?

I had to reinstall the third party apps after upgrading the OS. Yes, I also had to change my weather location ID on BBToday as well as my home and work addresses on Berry411 but that is indifferent to anyone who has to install the programs again. Asides from the HTML browser, I have not began to see much improvements. I don't use memopad or tasks much but I didn't recall seeing the 'category' feature in the previous OS; this allows you to categorize each task or memo as either business or personal.

In reference to the HTML icon to be a third party icon......I find that to be strange. I'm on Nextel WebClient for a little over half a year with unlimited data. I don't know why I hv that icon nor will I make any untruthful claims to my experiences. I will post more photos of it over the weekend.

Interesting because that's the very same icon that you get if you are using the HTML browser that comes with a BES. The mystery continues........

It was there in 4.0.0.160, I've been using it for a while now.

I've successfully gotten the new Internet Browser, but it wasn't from the software upgrade.

We are on a BES and I had a user's 7510 in for a backup and reactivation. I noticed afterwords that it had the Internet Browser. I did a backup of the service books and restored them on my 7520 and now have the Internet Browser also.

I bet the other user with the Internet Browser also has a service book for "Blackberry Internet Browser"

The icon also looks exactly like the one in his picture.

Some of the folks in the other threads suggested that the icon I have is from the BES HTML browser. I don't know how that was possible and there was only one file to DL for the .319 OS so apparently, someone's mistake turned in my favor. I hope this won't cause any issues on May 16th when Nextel does roll out the HTML browser for webclient.
